CPI Training - Level 3
This MANDATORY CPI Workplace Violence Prevention Training is for Level 3 Employees Only. This includes staff from the following departments:
- Administrative Nursing Supervisors
- Emergency Department
- Emergency Department Providers - All
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Medical Surgical Unit
- Medical Surgical & Intensive Care Unit Providers - All
- Safety & Security Management
The training will be a 6-hour class focusing classroom education and heavily on hands-on practice. The goal is to gain knowledge of verbal de-escalation skills and physical safety interventions to assist in managing individuals with aggressive behaviors.
Please work with your department leaders and schedulers to choose an appropriate date. Be sure to wear comfortable, flexible clothing.

Stephens 101
The Stephens 101 orientation is for all new Stephens Hospital care team members, both clinical and non-clinical roles. Attendance is required within the first 45 days of hire.
Stephens 101 covers introductory information for all new care team members including resources and information specific to Stephens Hospital.
8:00 am – 10:45 pm in the Education Training Room ~ RN & CNA training continues until 2:00 pm

Safe Patient Handling & Mobility
Safe Patient Handling & Mobility is a 1-hour training, required annually. The focus of this training is to keep caregivers safe and reduce the risk of injuries while caring for and mobilizing our patients.

PALS Mega Code Skills Course
PLEASE NOTE: All RQI BLS assignments in LMS MUST BE COMPLETED prior to taking the PALS Mega Code Skills Training.
The 2-hour megacode skills portion of the PALS certification is required after completing the online RQI PALS training.
Each RQI PALS assignment contains an online cognitive training and a hands-on megacode skills training. The online training is assigned using the LMS platform. The megacode skills assessments are held in-person in the Education Training Room. Megacode skills are required every 2 years for PALS.

NRP Advanced Provider Skills Course

The NRP Advanced Provider Skills Course is held utilizing 4-hour sessions. You must complete the RQI NRP modules assigned in LMS prior to attending the skills course.

ACLS Online Course - RQI
The ACLS certification is now administered using Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI). RQI Information
With the implementation of RQI, care team members will no longer need to complete a lengthy online assignment every two years to receive certification. Users will be automatically assigned quarterly assignments in the Learning Management System (LMS).
Each RQI assignment contains a cognitive portion and a hands-on skills portion. The cognitive portion can be completed at any computer using LMS, however skills assessments will continue to be held in-person in the Education Training Room. Megacode skills will be required every 2 years for ACLS.
PLEASE NOTE: If your certification is expiring and you have not received your LMS assignment, please contact the Clinical Education Department.
